Godfrey Road Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2009The olives for this extra virgin oil were harvested from the 520 trees in our Olive Grove at Godfrey Road. It is a blend of Barnea, Manzillo, Verdale, Frantoio and Nabilo cultivars – all chosen for their individual flavour contribution. The stony, alluvial soil of the old riverbed at Godfrey Road combined with extreme day and night temperatures and clean air allows the creation of a distinct, delicious olive oil with herbaceous characteristics likened to Sauvignon Blanc. In 2009 David and Mary-Anne hand-harvested the crop which has produced a light, buttery extra-virgin olive oil.
Use it as dipping oil, for drizzling, or as part of a dressing – ideal with bread and dukkah or balsamic vinegar, over salads, tomatoes, basil and mozzarella, vegetables and pasta.
